This post is part time – 20 hours per week (to be worked over 3 or 4 days)

We are seeking an experienced Book-Keeper to prepare, maintain and balance all accounts on behalf of the organisation. You will be responsible for accurately recording all income and expenditure in the organisation’s computerised accounts software whilst ensuring a good level of credit control, preparing interim and annual accounts for the organisation’s management team and external auditors and administer all aspects of payroll.


  • Highly organised and delivers own workload accurately and on time.
  • Adopts a methodical and accurate approach, which maintains efficient and effective day to day running of the organisation’s accounts information systems.
  • Keeps a fully compliant and auditable track of the organisation’s spending and financial activities.
  • Ensures a good level of credit control, cash flow and loan default activity.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement – through the pursuit of high standards and constantly seeking new and better ways of working both internally and externally for self and the organisation.
  • Demonstrates good organisation skills and the ability to understand detailed information.
  • Provides a high quality support service to the Executive Director and management team.

Discharge Support Assistants
£10.54 per hour (includes 15% shift allowance)

We are currently recruiting for bank staff to support our existing home from hospital service based at North Manchester General Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary. The service operates 365 days a year with current staff working a shift pattern of 4 days on followed by 4 days off 12 noon – 8.30 pm Mon-Fri, 9am-5.30pm weekends and bank holidays.  As a member of the bank staff team you will provide cover for planned absence e.g. annual leave

Working at all times as a pair and using our company vehicle, you will escort patients home safely and undertake basic tasks such as shopping for essentials and ensuring their home is warm and comfortable. This service seeks to improve older/vulnerable patients’ experience of discharge from hospital and prevent unnecessary readmission. Full induction and ongoing training will be provided.

Possession of a full driving licence is essential.  A DBS check will also be required.
